As you can imagine, the cheaper models are built to last only a few years. The most expensive models include outdoor gas fire pits fueled by propane or fire pits that feature attached granite tabletops. It stands to reason that there are safety precautions to be aware of when using your copper fire pit. Naturally, you should keep your fire pit safely away from the outside walls of any structure. Your fire pit should also rest on a fireproof flooring such as metal, tile or cement and not on a wooden deck, regardless of the distance between it and your home or yard building.
